How to sendmoney ? (in Cameroon)
o Go to the nearest Wafacash point of sale or one of its partnerswith a valid ID document. Present your ID and provide the teller the identity and contact details of the receiver, the destination country and the amount to be transferred
o The teller registers the transaction and the sender pays the teller the amount of money to be transferred, plus the transfer fee.
o The teller prints and gives the sender the transaction receipt, which bears the transfer number that the sender will give to the beneficiary
o If the sender wishes, Wafacash can offer an SMS service to inform the beneficiary.
How to receive money ?
o A few minutes after the transfer has been issued, the beneficiary can go to one of the above-mentioned points of sale in the UEMOA regionwith a valid identification document and the transfer number ;
o Give the transfer number to the counterclerk and hand over the ID document.
o After checking the transaction details and the receiver's identity document, the teller validates the payment and pays the receiver the amount transferred.
o A payment receipt is signed by both parties and a customer copy isgiven to the beneficiary.
An automated notification service : At the customer's request and afte reach transaction, an SMS can be sent to :
o Inform the beneficiarythat the transfer has been sent
o Inform the sender that the transfer has been recovered by the designated beneficiary
o Transmission/Distribution
o Modification of contact details and identity.
o Cancellation: the issuermay cancel the transfer and refund the transferfee
o Return: any issue cancelled the dayafter the issue or on the sameday at a branch other than the issuing branch is considered a return, with transfer fees not refunded
o Reactivation: possibility of making an expired transfer available again after 45 days
o Reinstatement: abranchthat has made an erroneous transfer can askthe customer’s CSC to reinstate the transfer in the system (withoutreturning the funds to the customer)
