Specializing in community-based financial services, Wafacash Central Africa is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wafacash Group, which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Attijariwafa Bank Group, Africa’s third-largest banking group. Founded in 2015, Wafacash Central Africa is a credit institution duly authorized by the Ministry of Finance of Cameroon, following approval by the Central African Banking Commission as a financial institution, pursuant to Decree No. 000616/MINFI of November 21, 2016, authorizing Wafacash Central Africa S.A. Wafacash began operations in Cameroon on October 27, 2017, with a broad range of domestic and international money transfer services, as well as cash deposit and withdrawal services on behalf of third parties. Wafacash operates in all 10 regions of Cameroon through its 15 company-owned branches, 17 service desks located within SCB branches, and its 94 partners , totaling more than 750 active sales points.
